Ashish is currently the Managing Director for MSD in Singapore & Malaysia, with enterprise wide responsibility for the company's operations across these markets.  

 

He has over twenty years of global strategic and operational leadership experience with P&L responsibility across the U.S. and International Markets.

 

A passion for driving results, he has led organizational transformation(s) across the Emerging Markets, the United States & Europe to achieve access, exponential revenue growth and market leadership. Ashish works seamlessly across cultures with a focus on diversity, innovation, digital acceleration and organizational agility.

 

Ashish started his career with Pfizer in India, then spent more than a decade in the United States working US and Global commercial roles. These included global franchise leadership positions for both pharmaceutical and medical device businesses. In 2006, he joined MSD in the United States as Senior Director, Global Women’s health care marketing after which, he made a conscious choice to step out of his comfort zone and move from the United States to the Emerging markets. He moved first to India as General Manager to establish and operationalize a pan-Emerging Markets joint venture, then as President & Managing Director for MSD in Indonesia before taking on his current role based out of Singapore.

 

Ashish is also Vice President and Board Member for PHAMA, the industry trade association in Malaysia and a Board member for SAPI, the industry trade association in Singapore. Prior appointments include board member for IPMG in Indonesia.

 

Ashish was in the Emerging Markets Future Leaders Executive Education program, from Harvard Business School. He has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing & International Business from University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences from University of Mumbai, India.

 

Ashish is a citizen of the United States.
